As John Hagee says in his book titled; Four Blood Moons, “Something is about to Change.” We don’t carry the book here in the store but do reference it in the teaching and do recommend you get it from your local bookstore.
Blood moons in themselves are not unique, they are simply lunar eclipses where the earth’s shadow is cast onto the moon and the moon appears red as see in the cover art. A sequence of four blood moons is called a tetrad and they are a bit more rare. But to have them fall on God’s Holy Feast days is very rare and this is what is going to happen in 2014 and 2015 on Feast of Pentecost and Feast of Tabernacles.
In the last five hundred years there have been three such tetrads (blood moon/feast sequences) and each has marked a very significant historical Jewish event. In 1492 when Columbus “discovered.” America as he sailed the ocean blue was actually Christopher Columbus as a Jew delivering Jews to what was supposed to be the West Indies but instead he arrived in America.
The greater event however was the Jews were fleeing Spain at the time of the horrific Spanish Inquisition and the event was marked by the signs in the heaven with four blood moons on the feast days two years in arrow. Then in May 14th of 1948, Israel became a nation in a day fulfilling prophecy and the Jews first Passover in 1949 was again the start of the sequence of four blood moons.
It happened again in 1967 when every Arab nation went to war against Israel with 465,000 troops, more than 2,800 tanks and 800 aircraft surrounded Israel and threatened to annihilate them. This event in incredible and is expounded on in the teaching as what God did in six days needs in winning the war and bringing Jerusalem back into the hands of Israel needs to be known as what He did then, He’s about to do again in fighting for Israel and all Christians.
This is really the focus of the teaching but also to note that as the blood moons of the past marked significant historic events, the upcoming four blood moons are a signal from God that something is about to happen; or as John Hagee says, “Something is about to Change.”
David also brings out in the teaching how Jewish feast commemorate a historic event in history and are prophetic in design. The spring Feasts of; Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits and Pentecost have been fulfilled in Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection and the coming of the Holy Spirit. The fall feasts have yet to be fulfilled and will be fulfilled through Jesus’ second coming.
Looking at the calendar dates it is possible these upcoming blood moons point to the Great Tribulation and His second return. There was also a sequence of four blood moons in 33 AD and 34 AD, which some say marked the date of Jesus’ crucifixion.
David carefully avoids predicting that this is a sign of the end but does go through some Scripture references that give a good reason to believe it is possible that the end is close at hand.
